Charter Conditions & Policies

*There is no cost to sign up for the club, just pay for the charter.
*Any charter locations deeper than 60’ will require an Advanced Open Water Certification to participate in the dive. Participants must have a history of cold water diving and experience in appropriate thermal protection. Please contact our staff with any questions regarding necessary experience level, training, and equipment.
*If you are looking to become an Advanced Open Water Diver, please contact our Training Department to discuss the details.
*To put your name on a charter date, please contact HDC staff via email or by phone (631) 727-7578. Due to limited capacity on our private charters, once you sign up, your spot is locked in. If you need to cancel your spot from the charter roster after signing up, HDC staff will need no later than 14 days notice to fill your spot. If a cancellation occurs within 14 days of departure, you are responsible for the charter fee.
*Any payments for charters are non-refundable. If a charter dive is canceled due to inclement weather, etc. the money will be issued as in-store credit. Please contact our staff with any questions regarding this policy.

A minimum of Advanced Open Water Diver*
Divers should:be comfortable in Northeast Conditions,
know how to use/carry a wreck reel
know how to use/carry a DSMB/SMB/Lift bag
have strong compass skills
18+ years old
Special note:
Wreck dives are not guided, unless you hire a professional
Crew/Capt provide expertise in briefing divers on the sites, and assisting single divers that need to find a buddy.
It's a great way to network to meet new folks and explore our local waters!

SCUBA gear is not provided. Divers should have:
cutting devices (line cutter, dive knife, etc)
dive gloves + appropriate exposure gear
mask, fins, snorkel, boots
BCD, reg w/octo, compass, computer/gauges, tank
wreck reel
SMB/DSMB
redundancies, if tec diving
