and assisting single divers that need to find a buddy.
It's a great way to network to meet new folks, support local, and gain new insights into the world of diving!
Aquanuts Club Dives:

Briefing at 11am at Hampton Dive Center
Arrive at Hampton Springs by Noon
1 tank dive, 60 mins max
All minors need a guardian or dive pro as a buddy.
Dive light and gloves REQUIRED.
Thermocline is borderline- thicker suit than 5mm suggested
entrance fee $20

The event includes: a late morning/early afternoon dive, followed by refreshments and a debris count/logging at the Bridge.We recommend arriving with the majority of your gear already set up

Location: South side of PQB (permit/parking pass required)
If parking there, permit required through Southampton Town
Suggestion: weight checks done/start dive by ~ 11:50am

⭐During a survey, your focus goes beyond just collecting trash; you are gathering valuable scientific data.
heavily recommended:
Dive light,
compass,
1-2 cutting devices,
full length exposure thicker than 5mm,
hood and gloves,
weights to be slightly negatively buoyant
mesh bag for debris
⭐ Bonus: any woman that attends can choose a complimentary Conservation Course from the following options: PADI AWARE, Coral Reef Conservation, Dive Against Debris*.

A minimum of Open Water Diver. Divers should be comfortable in Northeast Conditions and have strong compass skills.
Dive guides available for hire on a first come, first serve basis.

SCUBA gear is not provided. Divers should have:
cutting devices (line cutter, dive knife, etc)
dive gloves + appropriate exposure gear
mask, fins, snorkel, boots
BCD, reg w/octo, compass, computer/gauges, tank

Hampton Springs and Secret Beach are private dive sites. While divers do not need a permit for parking, they do need their own personal vehicles. No ubers/taxis/lyfts.
For Ponquogue Bridge parking on the south side, divers need a permit from Southampton Town Parks + Rec.

This is typically a drift dive, current can be strong; timing the dive right is very important
full length exposure, gloves, dive light, and compass heavily suggested
