A little bit about Catalina Island
SCUBA and Snorkel:
Visitors can dive/snorkel several MPAs (marine protected areas) and habitat sanctuaries. Most of the island is protected by the Catalina Conservancy, its stewardship spanning 88% of the area.
A very popular site is the Casino Dive Park, the first non-profit park in the world designated for scuba diving.
