A little bit about Catalina Island

  • SCUBA and Snorkel:

    • Visitors can dive/snorkel several MPAs (marine protected areas) and habitat sanctuaries. Most of the island is protected by the Catalina Conservancy, its stewardship spanning 88% of the area.

    • A very popular site is the Casino Dive Park, the first non-profit park in the world designated for scuba diving. 

  • Land-based, outdoor enthusiasts:

    • Hiking trails and remote roads wind through rugged canyons and coastal bluffs, providing breathtaking views of the ocean.
